Roger is absolutely amazing as a trainer for both dogs and humans! We had previously attended other puppy classes, but when we walked into Roger's class, it was a game changer. In just a few sessions, we were able to break some of our puppy's bad habits and even some bad habits of our own as owners. Roger knows how to train both you and your dog, and his knowledge on tailoring the lessons to what you and your dog needs is truly impressive. We only wish we’d gone to him sooner. We have a lively cocker spaniel, and Roger taught us that engaging her brain can be just as tiring for her as a long walk. It's like magic! Learning about staying calm, confident, and consistent was a real "aha" moment for us.
Would highly recommend Roger to anyone! We have been having one to one lessons for a few months now and the change in my 2 year old Vizsla is massive. He has helped with separation anxiety, lead walking, off lead walking, recall and just starting with retrieving. I have a much happier and more relaxed dog as a result is a pleasure to be around.
We took our rescue dog, Bruno to Roger when we adopted him at around 14 months old. Roger provided us with clear and concise advice which has helped us transform Bruno from a disobedient pet who couldn’t be let off the lead, into a well behaved dog who now gets to enjoy his walks on and off the lead as well as now having an understanding of what’s expected of him. Rogers training is built around firm but fair structure and training where you’ll reap the benefits if you implement what he asks of you when at home. We previously took Bruno to a teenager dog class which we found was too ‘lovey dovey’ for what we needed. Bruno now gets to enjoy his time with us as much as we get to enjoy it with him. We can’t recommend Roger enough.

Roger has helped me massively with my Irish setter. He has a complete no nonsense approach that he breaks down to make it simple and easy to understand. Not only has he helped me train my dog but given me the confidence in myself and tools to deal with any situations we might encounter. I would gladly recommend him to anyone!
Roger was recommended to me to help with my reactive Lab/Collie mix Luna. She was reactive to other dogs and some people. I dreaded taking her to public places. With Roger’s guidance, we have improved in leaps and bounds! He has helped us open the lines of communication. We really enjoy our sessions! I now get so many comments about how well behaved Luna is, Roger is right, it’s a great feeling 😊. I now feel proud take her out and about. I can’t recommend him enough. Thank you Roger!
I have been training with Roger for 2 years since my Lab was 4 months old. I have never trained a Gundog before. Roger has a friendly way of teaching which is always fun too. We have progressed from puppy training to competing in Novice working tests. Something I never thought I could achieve. I still train with Roger as it’s great to have a friend to guide us as we continue to progress. I swear he can speak “dog” , he always seems to know what mine is thinking & usually has to explain it was my fault. It’s more about training me than the dog!
Me and Murph, my newly two year old black lab, have been training with Roger since August 2022. When we started, our walks consisted of driving to an open space and letting Murph have his fill of running around until I was confident he was tired enough. I couldn't bare to walk him on his lead, his recall was at 10% and he was treated like my child. I didn't realise I had created an anxious dog with the best of intentions. I couldn't leave the room without him whining. I couldn't take him anywhere social as he was unmanageable and I was rewarding him for all the wrong behaviours. Now, lead pulling is a rarity, his recall has dramatically improved and we often enjoy trips to the pub, beach and city. Training with Roger has given me the confidence to know how to give Murph the best life possible in all respects. It is definitely a work in progress but it is so enjoyable to actually see the hard work coming to fruition. Life changing!
Roger was our last chance, We had visited two trainers before and had no success. Roger was fantastic. We were at our wit's end and that has all changed. Our Springer spaniel would run away regularly and whilst walking on the lead, she would pull our arms off, that has transformed. She is a pleasure to have and we can walk her off the lead and on the lead without any stress. It was hard work and we did everything Roger suggested, the persistence has paid off. At times it was hard to follow the advice but it has really worked out. We have a springer spaniel that is calm and attentive towards us and well-behaved.
We have been going to roger since Margot (my Hungarian Vizsla) was 8 weeks old! She has become such a well-rounded, disciplined and loving dog at the age of 2 now! We have implemented all of Rogers training and honestly seeing the benefits of our hard work together! Will continue to take Margot every month to ensure nothing slips and builds on our focus and discipline! Thanks Roger me and Margot love coming to training!!!
Roger is great to work with. Very experienced, knowledgeable. Highly recommended
